🌟 Fundraising Purpose
Since its establishment in 1964, Hong Kong Blind Union (HKBU) has been organised and managed by visually impaired persons, dedicated to upholding the spirit of self-help and mutual support. Our mission is to achieve equality, opportunity, and independence for people with visual impairment.
Funds raised from this Flag Day will be used to support the HKBU's continued provision of diverse services for visually impaired persons across Hong Kong, including:
- Advocacy and Public Education
- Vocational and Educational Support
- Mutual Support for Visually Impaired Persons
- Adaptation for Newly Blind Persons
- Member Activities and Development
Every contribution helps visually impaired persons lead independent lives and builds a more inclusive society!
💰 Direct Donation
Even if you are unable to sell flags, your donation is the most direct support for our visually impaired friends!
- Online Donation: Donate via this online platform using a credit card or other electronic methods.
- Bank Transfer*: Deposit the donation into the HKBU's bank account (HSBC: 511-529299-001).
- FPS (Faster Payment System)*: Transfer the donation to HKBU FPS ID: 3245701.
- PayMe*: to donate via PayMe.
- Cheque: Please make the cheque payable to "Hong Kong Blind Union", and mail it, along with your name, telephone number, and address, to: Hong Kong Blind Union, G/F, Block Tsi Ying House, Tsui Ping Estate, Kwun Tong (Units 13–20). Please indicate "Flag Day Donation".

Donations of HKD $100 or more are eligible for tax deductions with the official receipt.

- For every single donation of HK$100 or more, you will receive one souvenir set including a Gold Flag, a Braille postcard, and a tactile guide path keychain (Available while stocks last).
- For every single donation of HK$200 or more, you will receive one souvenir set including a Gold Flag, a Braille postcard, a tactile guide path keychain, and an eco-friendly umbrella pouch (Available while stocks last).
❤️ Volunteer Registration
(A) Street Volunteer Registration
Service Content: Soliciting donations on the streets of Hong Kong Island on 28 February 2026.
Eligibility: Open to all individuals, families, schools, companies, or organisations. Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Volunteer Hours: Each Flag Day volunteer will receive a Certificate of Appreciation and 6 hours of recognised volunteer service. Schools and organisations that dispatch 30 or more volunteers/groups will also receive a separate Certificate of Thanks.

(B) Online Flag Day Volunteer Registration
Service Content: Soliciting donations online from now until 28 February 2026.
Eligibility: Open to all individuals.
Volunteer Hours:
- Online Flag Day volunteers who reach 10 or more donors and raise a total of HKD $300 or more will be awarded 3 hours of volunteer service.
- Online Flag Day volunteers who reach 20 or more donors and raise a total of HKD $600 or more will be awarded 6 hours of volunteer service.
- All online Flag Day volunteers will receive an e-Certificate of Appreciation.
📝How to Participate:
1. to complete the online registration form.
2. Upon successful registration, you will be assigned a dedicated "Online Flag Bag Number".
3. You can invite friends and family to donate via this donation webpage, asking them to enter your "Online Flag Bag Number" in the remarks column.
4. Once the same "Online Flag Bag Number" accumulates the target number of donors and donation amount, you will be awarded the corresponding volunteer hours and e-Certificate of Appreciation.
📢 Support from Schools/Organisations/Companies
We sincerely invite schools, companies, and various organisations to support this Flag Day event in the following ways:
- Become a "Volunteer Recruitment Partner": Assist in recruiting a certain number of volunteers for the Flag Day.
- Organise Group/Company Volunteer Teams: Arrange for groups to conduct flag-selling collectively in a designated area.
- Set up Internal Donation Boxes or provide a Direct Donation to support the event.
